DVXusser.com a  great resource on line now has a new publication coming .

DVXUser is proud to announce intent to publish DVXUser Monthly. A monthly publication in magazine format with a primary focus on promoting DVXUser members and their personal accomplishments, and a secondary focus on providing you with valuable technical information, reviews, product information, etc, etc, etc.

Like everything else on DVXUser, DVXUser Monthly will be entirely free to you. Circulation of the magazine will be monthly.

Barry Green posted a lengthy first impression of the EX 1 on dvxuser, check it out.

I haven’t gotten to play with it myself yet, but I have seen footage from several associates. I have to say, Im very impressed with the resolution, but when the camera is moving it looks horrible. There is so much banding happening in the compression. If you need to shoot fast action just forget it.

Barry points out a lot of the camera’s strong points here, as well as its growing list of weaknesses. It’s biggest strong points being it’s jump in resolution, sharp lcd and colored peaking feature. There is a lot of hype surrounding this camera, as far as I can tell its all unsubstantiated marketing. Don’t go trading in your HVXs yet.
