While researching a potential Stedicam Training I came up on this delightfully clever application of a Segway type personal transportation device and a Stedicam. The particular device used for this is called Hands Free which is essentially a segway without the handles. Watch this great clip for more.
So, I’ve been swamped lately….. but I finally got my laptop back so no more excuses. I’m in Arizon now working a movie “UDBP”, Untitiled Dominican Baseball Project, though “Sugar” is what it’s looking like now. It’s being directed by the same team that made Half Nelson, which was an excellent movie and has received many accolades. It’s hot as shit here and we’re standing out in the sun all day on a baseball field!
I went skydiving on our day off which was unbelievable. I can’t even begin to explain it.
I just put a bunch of pictures up on flickr from a birthday gather the crew had for director Ryan Fleck and DP Andrij Parekh. Check them out here
I’m on the road with no laptop or internet, but I have my Blackberry damn it.
Apple announced Logic Studio yesterday, at the amazing price of $499. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
Logic Studio includes Logic 8, Soundtrack Pro 2, Main Stage, Studio Instruments, Studio Effects and Studio Sound Library.
Getting ready to head to Phoenix in a

Hopefully they finish it soon and fed ex it to my hotel. I may expire without it. I’ll be bumming the use of other people’s computers while on the trip… stay tuned.

“We believe the HVX200 is a fantastic choice for our students,” said Jerry Sherlock, President and Founder of the New York Film Academy. “The benefits are numerous especially because it allows them the ability to switch from DV to HD according to their needs and budgets.”

Yesterday, just 74 days after its introduction on June 29, Apple sold the one millionth iPhone. “One million iPhones in 74 days—it took almost two years to achieve this milestone with iPod,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We can’t wait to get this revolutionary product into the hands of even more customers this holiday season.”
